Excellent service. It was easy to make an appointment, and they made sure I knew who would be coming to my house. The repairman that came to my house made sure I understood what was wrong and showed the parts that needed to be fixed before moving forward. This is an add-on to the previous review. This company is truly a wonderful company to work with. I had an issue that persisted. They came back for a second time and were persistent in finding the issue. I will definitely be using them for my plumbing needs in the future.

Smith Plumbing Heating & Air installed a new Bradford White hot water heater for me. They did an excellent job from the time Will came out to give me a quote to Caleb and Jason coming out to install the new unit. The price was fair and reasonable. I had a quote from another company for the same exact unit, and they were $1,300 higher. If you need any type of plumbing or HVAC work, Smith Plumbing Heating & Air is an excellent choice and who I will be calling for any future needs. Thanks, guys.

Overall great service. Smith’s was communicative all the way through the process. I received texts, calls, reminders, and updates, which were nice. Hunter was fantastic. He was confident, reassuring, walked me through all of the steps for the needed repair, showed me pictures, and explained everything well. Clearly, the company has invested in systems and training to create a seamless process from beginning to end. 5 star service, hands down. So why the 4 stars? It was mainly because of two things. First, the price of almost $1,000 to repair the toilet flange and toilet shutoff valve, which took about an hour and a half, felt really high. They knew what they were coming out to do and could have warned me or explained a price range to me to allow me to make that decision or call around. For those thinking, well, they needed to lay eyes on it first to assess… Hunter gave me the prices in my front foyer before he even looked at anything, just based on my explanation of the issue. This could have been done over the phone instead of waiting until after I had already committed to the $60 fee and waited a week to have someone come out. I could have refused and I chose to move forward with the repair, but not because I felt like I was getting a fair price… more because I just needed it done. Second, there were moments where I felt more like a target to be sold to than a customer with a problem that needed to be solved. I received a quote for $2,500 for a pressure reducing valve and subsequent hot water heater work that I didn’t ask for or feel like I really needed. This upsell tactic is clearly baked into their business strategy (I think I was asked on 3 different occasions how old my water heater was) and it cast a bit of sales sliminess over the entire otherwise wonderful customer service experience.

Initial estimate visit was very straightforward. This was the third vendor estimate. Smith did not play pricing games. Their estimate came in about 12% lower than the other two. What I was buying was clearly stated on the estimate. Mfg part number was clear so I could perform due diligence. The install was done the same day. The installation technicians were professional. They completed on schedule and cleaned up after themselves. The water heater performs great. I am very satisfied.

We recently had two toilets upgraded, along with a shower valve issue resolved. Smith’s Plumbing responded to our request for service almost immediately. The representative called to arrange a suitable appointment time, and Hunter - the plumber assigned to us - was awesome. Hunter had previously come to our house to troubleshoot a plumbing issue and clearly explained the steps he would be taking. When we mentioned wanting to upgrade our toilets, Hunter provided recommendations and estimates we agreed upon. Hunter’s attitude and workmanship are A+/5-Star. We will only use Smith’s Plumbing in the future.
